Welcome to Feature Friday. Today, meet Luxuriously Natural Soaps.

A frustration with ineffective skincare products and prescriptions for family members with extremely sensitive skin was the original impetus for Luxuriously Natural Soaps. For owner Sonya Black, layoffs in the corporate world were a blessing in disguise. “I began to work full time [for Luxuriously Natural Soaps] and haven’t looked back, not once! I so love it.”

In business four years now, Luxuriously Natural Soaps produces everything one might need for the bath and body, ranging from candles to balms, bath bombs, scrubs, creams, shampoo, conditioner, and of course, the namesake soaps.

If you have the chance, try the body washes, which are made with luxurious, skin-pampering oils. Bar soaps more your style? Sonya grows and infuses herbs into the oils used in her goat milk soaps. Regardless of which products you choose, they’re all made with great care by hand, using the best ingredients possible to minimize risk of irritation.

On the business side, Sonya shares her love of networking within the industry. (You can say hello on the Luxuriously Natural Soaps Facebook and twitter pages.) “There’s so much to share and learn in the world of soaping. I am proud to be a member of the soap guild and member of the Soaper’s Retreat group where I have come to love many friends.”

A member for just over six months now, Sonya had the opportunity to attend the 2013 Conference in Raleigh, which she says has been her favorite membership benefit thus far. “I also enjoy the member discounts. Every bit helps!”

Thanks, Sonya, for sharing some of the Luxuriously Natural Soaps story with us!
