Call for Presenters for 2011 Conference

The Handcrafted Soapmaker Guild is holding its 14th Annual Conference in Miami, FL May 18th to May 20th, 2011 at the Hilton Downtown Miami hotel. Our annual conferences are the largest gatherings of professional soapmakers in the world and the HSMG is dedicated to bringing the best in educational topics to our attendees to help them grow their businesses.

We are finalizing our list of speakers and are looking for individuals to present on the following topics:

  • Product packaging
  • Media Training
  • Public Relations
  • Coloring your soaps
  • Financing your business
  • Milk Base Soaps
  • Advanced Swirling
  • Advanced Melt & Pour

We are open to additional topics that could be of interest to our soapmaker attendees.

The presentations need to be approximately 90 minutes in length including Q&A. We are looking for individuals who are extremely knowledgeable about the above topics and are comfortable presenting to groups as large as 400+. The class can be a demonstration, powerpoint presentation, interactive, multi-media or a combination of the four.

  5. Recent head shot

The cutoff of sending presentation proposals is October 8, 2010.

All presentations proposals will be evaluated based on content, applicability, uniqueness, presenter qualifications and the general fit of the presentation in the overall plan and scheme of the Conference. The final acceptance of any proposed presentations will be made by October 22, 2010.
